Khanda is an important symbol of Sikhism and has a deep meaning behind each of 4 components it is made out of.
Two single edged swards represents swards of sixth guru of sikh's Shri Guru Hargobind who named these swards as Miri and Piri which means spirituality and temporal power.
Double edged swards in the canter is the result of merging two outer swards, means it has both, Miri (spitrtuality) and Piri (temporal power).
Circle in the canter reminds us endless nature of God who neither begins and nor dies.

One can see khanda symbol on sikh's religious flags, temples and religious books.
Khanda also reminds that sikhs has a warrior in them who fought against injustice in past.
